How To Get Mentioned In Wired
How do you get into Wired?
- Write a really simple web application
- Wait two years until the app doesn’t even work right
- Some writer at Wired finds it and suddenly you’re in a magazine with Colbert on the cover.
My FutureMail application was mentioned in the August 2006 Wired, on page 23 of their special “how to” section. It’s also on their web site.
FutureMail doesn’t even work right these days. It’s an hour off for some reason, and it’s such an incredibly boring application that I haven’t bothered to fix it.
