Interesting Things While Flying
It seems like every time I fly, something interesting happens. I guess that’s why I like it!
While landing, with my flight instructor at the controls, but me following along:
Instructor: “Don’t push down, don’t push down!”
I push down for some reason, nose wheel hits and we bounce.
While rolling out after landing:
Me: There’s a deer on the runway!
On final, just a few hundred feet above the ground, a train right below us sounds a whistle that sounds just like the stall horn:
Instructor: “That scared the shit out of me!”
When parking the Cessna next to a Chinook helicopter:
Chinook pilot: “You’d better tie that plane down before we take off!”
While checking weather before flying:
John McLaughlin (a local TV weatherman) walks in and asks, “What’s the weather today?”
